Sky Liam attended the University of Southern California where he studied Theatre and Chinese language while captaining both the Wushu and Tae Kwon Do teams. After graduation he moved to Beijing, China, and spent time training and competing internationally. His first film roles were in the martial arts films Bagua Zongshi (Kung Fu Master) and Tai Chi Zero; he has also appeared in films such as Ted Bundy: American Boogeyman for Hulu, Running on Empty for Lionsgate, as well as episodes of The Young and the Restless and Oishi: Demon Hunter.
As a writer, his short Sirene was shot on location on Marco Island, Florida as an official entry for the Marriott International 48 Hour Film Challenge. Other screenplays have been selected by the Hollywood Shorts Fest, Malibu International Film Festival, Beverly Hills Film Festival, and others. He wrote, directed, and starred in the short film Iron Fist Tie Quan based on the Marvel comics character.
Sky is a professional event emcee, a credentialed sports media member, and a lifelong martial artist.
